Blueprint Review Sessions

posted Tuesday, 30 June 2009

Review sessions are a key part of blueprint validation, and today we held a review with key stakeholders and the entire project team. The review was held over two days and broken into in topic-specific, focused sessions.

In these reviews we addressed the overall company structure to be implemented as well as the individual business scenarios to be included in the scope of the project.  Our review revealed a few minor flaws in our early assumptions with sales hierarchy structure. Since SAP is configurable to handle companies of virtually every level of complexity, one of the balances you have to strike is to configure your company to maximize business reporting flexibility while minimizing the amount of data maintenance.  After review with the team, we decided to make a small change to the proposed structure that would result in a simpler structure, than originally proposed, still providing the necessary level of reporting while simplifying data maintenance.
